Self-Worth, Shame, Inner Critic Tools Bundle
Self-Worth, Shame, and Inner Critic Therapy Bundle
A toolbox, not a workbook. Every resource in this bundle stands on its own. Pick the one tool that fits your client today, use it in session or send it home, and move on. Nothing has to be done in order, and nothing builds on a previous page.
The tools share one integrated lens. Compassion-focused therapy explains why the critic is so loud and builds a kinder inner voice. Parts-informed work treats the critic as a protector that learned harsh words while trying to help. Schema-informed work traces those words back to where they were learned, including messages from family, culture, faith communities, and the wider world. Body-based practices run throughout, because shame lives in the body before it lives in words.
WHAT IS INSIDE
Kids 5 to 11 (24 resources)
Made for play, not paperwork, and starring the Grumble Cloud (a cloud that learned grumbly words) and Glow (the kind voice). Includes an original read-aloud story (Rio and the Grumble Cloud), coloring pages, a Glow puppet, a Mistakes Help Me Grow flower craft, a kind words jar and mirror, a My Roots tree, a board game, kindness bingo, an I Am spinner, a Glow Meter, strengths cards, Glow Cards, award certificates, and a caregiver handout on raising a kind inner voice.
Teens 12 to 17 (22 tools)
Body image, social media, worth beyond grades, rejection and friendship hurts, pride in who I am, put-downs and bullying, affirmations that actually fit, and a teen and caregiver guide.
Emerging Adults 18 to 25 (22 tools)
"Behind" shame, dating and rejection, family approval across cultures, money shame, body image, worth at work and school, identity in bloom, and a significant other (SO) guide.
Adults 26 to 59 (22 tools)
Parenting guilt, people-pleasing, work and burnout, body and aging, shame after a hard chapter, generational messages, faith, shame, and worth (including healing from high-control settings), and a couples tool with a page for each partner and a shared plan.
Later Adulthood 60 and up (22 large-print tools)
Worth after retirement, the aging body, regret and self-forgiveness, life review, accepting care without feeling like a burden, generational messages, caregiving guilt, and a legacy of kindness letter.
Core tools in every teen and adult set
Meet your inner critic, shame and guilt, the three systems, the critic as protector, roots of the critic, is it me or the message, compassionate letter, my compassionate other, self-compassion break and soothing breath, from critic to coach, shame triggers map, evidence file, mistakes and repair, and the Kind Voice Cards deck (40 cards).
Clinician Kit
A tool finder that matches what your client brings in to the right tool, adaptable scripts for each skill, guidance on fears of compassion and internalized oppression, a "when to adapt or pause" table, the Self-Compassion Scale Short Form with scoring, documentation language for your notes, and APA references.
HOW THE TOOLS WORK
One topic per tool. Each tool focuses on a single skill or idea and runs one to four pages, with real room to write.
Worked examples. Most worksheets show a filled-in example before the client's own version.
Practice trackers. Tools meant to be practiced across a week end with a 7-day tracker you can print as many times as you need.
WOVEN INTO EVERY PAGE
Trauma-informed. Shame work is paced gently, with choice and an easy way back to the body. Guilt, which can guide repair, is kept separate from shame.
Multicultural and intersectional. Shame learned from racism, sexism, ableism, fatphobia, homophobia, transphobia, classism, and ageism is named as learned, not as the client's failing.
Inclusive. Diverse names, every family shape, every faith path respected, and protective SO language throughout.
